Staff changes
We’d like to share a few changes that have happened within the TRANSIT team over the past few months.
Our project’s Principal Investigator, Dr Jun Chen, has now joined the School of Engineering and Materials Science at Queen Mary University of London. He is also being joined in London by Research Assistant Michal Weiszer. Our lead at Stirling, Dr John R. Woodward, is also moving to Queen Mary to take up a lecturing position and will work in the newly established Operational Research Group. In light of these changes, ownership of the TRANSIT project has been transferred from the University of Lincoln to Queen Mary University of London. We are excited at the new opportunities that this brings, and grateful to the University of Lincoln for all their assistance in supporting the project to this point.
In other news, Mr Tianci Zhang, a visiting PhD student co-sponsored by the Chinese Scholarship Council and British Council from Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, has now joined the TRANSIT research team and will stay at Queen Mary for one year.
Guillermo Lopez, Research Assistant in Flight Simulation at Cranfield, will be leaving Cranfield and the project in September 2017. His contribution to the project will be missed and we wish him all the best for the future.
